AutoCAD Xref from an FTP Server

Opening an AutoCAD Xref from an FTP Server is accomplished by the following steps:
- Use the Insert / Xref Manager Command
- Click Attach.
- Click on the Search the Web icon
- Type in the FTP Server address in the format:
ftp://UserId:Password@yourdomain.com/path/
The example FTP Server is:
ftp://eg2:eg2@theearchitect.com/proj1/eg2/
- Click in the drawing file to automatically complete the name in the Name or URL text field
- Click on Open
- Un-check the Specify On-screen insertion point option box.
- Click on OK
The Xref file will be added in the normal AutoCAD edit window.
A Zoom / Extents command may be necessary to see all of the new image.
